5:2 with 2x runs per day?

I'm thinking of embarking on the 5:2 to try and regain some control of my eating. However, I run twice a day on the days that I would try to fast on (to and from work, 5k each way). The obvious solution would be to fast on non-work days, but this isn't going to happen as I tried it on mat leave and it just made me miserable - I want to enjoy days off with DD. On work days I get up at 5:45am, run into work, leave work at 4pm and run home, and we eat dinner at 7pm. So I'm hust wondering whether this seems doable, or whether I'm setting myself up it fail with a long day without food and two runs...?

If you're used to running those distances then I don't see a problem with that. I'd have some lunch though rather than saving all my calories for the evening.

I always run on a fast day, admittedly only in the morning though!

Most exercisers soon get used to fasted training, so long as it is not more than 90 mins. Just try it.

I train intensely most evenings. On both FDs and non-FDs, I prefer to have most of my calories at lunch.
On FDs, after evening training, I normally have a small protein shake.

I sometimes do fasted Sunday morning HIIT spin & weights, but again I need lunch afterwards.

I prefer to exercise on a fast day as it means I have energy from the NFD before and it ensures I stick to fasting. When I exercised the day after a FD I found it harder as there was "nothing in the tank"!

I agree with little. I exercise quite intensely five or six days a week - usually in the morning as on may leave and my gym has a great crèche. Exercuse on the day after a fast is much harder than the FD itself.
