What age did you meet your husband?

How old were you when you met your husband? How did you meet and how did you know that they were the one?
coming from my newly single 28-year-old that is feeling like she’s running out of time

I was 23, he was 37.

Something just clicked, it felt so natural to be with him. Good thing as I gave birth to our first child 10 months after meeting him!

Been together 28 years now.

I was 18, he was 19.

Met, got engaged, lived together, married, had 2 kids. Still together, at the ages of 66 and 67

When I was 25 and now 32, no kids yet but just had my coil removed so hopefully soon! I have plenty of friends who met their partners later than 28 and are already married/having kids - everyone goes at their own pace.

Almost 34.

I was 30. But I remember being 28 and wondering if I was ever going to meet the right person. I felt as if all my friends were settling down and I was alone. Married for over 20 years and have two DD. He's still my favourite person to spend time with.

@UnicornMamma says it best: "I think we put too much pressure on doing things at certain ages. Life will take you where you need to be".

I was 14 and he was 18. There were a group of us that used to hang out together, being the cool crowd, so we thought.
i liked him from the start and we did go out together for a summer later on, but didn’t get together seriously until about a decade later.

Met in a nightclub both aged 19, engaged 6 weeks later, married 1 year later. Been married 37 years, now 57, we have 2 adult daughters and are now grandparents. Still a good marriage and we’re good friends, he still makes me laugh every day (and sometimes I want to bury him!)😂

29, it was an instant and mutual attraction and I knew I'd marry him within minutes of meeting him. We met at a Ball, his gf of five years was on the Ball Committee; I was having a fling with a friend if his, having given up men due to a broken heart.

He was the one. He split with his partner within four weeks, I told my fling he wasn't staying the night.

Married at 31, first child at 34.5. We are now almost 65 and 64. Love each other more with each passing day.

22 when we met at a party. However, a mutual friend had wanted to set us up on a blind date for a long time before.

knew he was the one within less than a year. Married at 24, but didn’t have any children until I was 34

35, early pregnant now at 38

19, met at university. I knew he was the one straight away, as soon as i met him really.

We met on holiday when I was 27, were engaged before we returned home and married 10 months after meeting, a few days before I was 28. We celebrate our 41st wedding anniversary next month.

Met in a night club, in 1983, still together now

Me 16 him 17 we were friends to start with got married 26. 60 now still going strong

Met at 39, married at 41 and had baby at 42.

25, he was 30. We met through OLD , I was a single mum and had no chance to get out and meet someone.
We were engaged a year later, married a year after that and DS2 was born 8 months later.

Been together nearly 20 years

Met when I was 29. We've been married 22 years and have 2 teenagers.

It’s better that she’s had the courage to get out of her previous relationship. First things first she needs boosting up from family and friends. Focus on herself and do what makes her happy.
Someone will come along when she’s ready or when she least expects it.

21, (sorry). Married at 22 and still together, 25 years and two children later.

I was 19. Got together when I was 21. Now 60. Childfree by choice.
But many of my friends met their husbands at a similar age - however, they were busy with their careers, so children didn't come along until they were well into their 30s (and 40s, in a couple of instances).
There's absolutely no rush in other words.

I was 18 and he was 23. I knew he was the one within the first few weeks. We’ve been together nearly 10 years now, married for 3 with one DC and another one on the way.
