Due to DH been treated for cancer to have children we have always known we likely would need ivf. Due to my bmi we can’t have it till I loose weight, I am trying but as I am

5”2 and naturally well built its hard , the absolutely frustrating thing is I am physically fit and healthy. Regularly go to the gym and eat well. Body fat is the lower end of a healthy range. But none is relevant weight needs to drop.
So frustrating especially when those who abuse their bodies get pregnant as easily as sneezing.

Are you looking for advice or a space to let off steam?

Have you asked about weight loss injections or would that affect future IVF?

calorie deficit, exercise, balanced diet and shed loads of water

Wishing you luck

@AnneLovesGilbert both tbh

@toomanytocount2025 - I think the answer is I stop lifting weights and loose muscle mass.

Then you've answered your own question. As hard as it may be to change your routine I suppose you need to weigh up if you want a child more than lifting weights. It's a decision only you can make x

If you eat in a calorie deficit you will lose muscle.

I would do whatever exercise you enjoy, while eating at a deficit (how much weight do you need to lose, and how fast would you like to lose it?)

I had to lose a stone before ivf. What is your bmi?
