Best contraception?

Just had baby #2 and he took us 2 years to conceive so I've not been on birth control for a hot minute.

I'm also on Mounjaro, which I think rules out the contraceptive pill.

I'm trying to make a decision on what contraception I'm going to go on, I had the copper coil previously but wasn't keen on the insertion/removal part, but I guess if that's the best option I can suck it up.

I liked the idea of the implant, but after some googling I've seen a lot of horror stories.

Any positive experiences people can share or recommend?

Further info -

I have PCOS but regular periods

I'm overweight - but working on it!

Potentially want another baby in future, but with issues TTC for my last 2, I'm not 100% sure I want to put myself through the stress of trying again.

I'm on Mounjaro

I'm 30

I think it might be best to get an appointment with a family planning nurse to talk through your options.

If you don't want a coil (whether copper or mirena), then there's injection/implant - some women are fine on them, others find them a complete horror, and no-one knows for sure unless they try it. Nuava ring might be a possibility too (if you don't get on with it, you can just take it out, no need to wait for months for it to wear off or get an appointment for removal)

I like to implant had 3 over the course of 8 years. My dd has one. Both of us needed the pill to control periods until they settled down about 3 months. It can take a while to settle down.
