i am on the 3 month injection i prefer it above any other family planning method and i am very happy with the fact that it takes my period away... i only have to go for my next injection on the 21 of sept but i have been having period pains of note and i even started bleeding a little yesterday but today the colour turned from red to an brownish colour if i can put it like that I can't understand as to why that is and the pain today is more uncomfortable than sore if you can imagine... i have 1 child he is 3 years, please don't tell me to go to a gynaecologist i hate it and will do anything to avoid them. should i be worried

I think you should make an appointment with your GP or the family planning nurse wherever you get your jabs done.

Spotting/breakthrough bleeding can occur, but usually settles within first year.
