Hi girls, I get the implant out next week due to it leaving me riddled in anxiety & other stuff i’m super nervous as I don't really want to be pregnant yet although it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world, i just don't feel ready.... i don't want to go on any other contraception as it just leaves my hormones & weight gain crazy!! also don't like condoms. so really my only option is pull & pray LOL. So have any of you got pregnant from the pull out game? I’m just a lil nervous

Well it works for us. These threads come up quite a bit with the same banterous replies. But if your partner doesn’t have pre-cum then it’s reliable. Problem being you may not know this, and it relies entirely on your partner getting out of there in good time. Also it’s easier in some positions than others. Missionary probably being the most awkward to get clear, I guess. Doggy or anything from behind being easier.

worked for me, only had my two children when I wanted them but it does depend how well your husband is in control of his body. The coil could be an alternative

Yeah my friend got pregnant like that. It’s not contraception. If you don’t like condoms then don’t have sex until your other contraception starts working.

On a different note given the topic of this thread I did find this Mumsnet message above quite amusing ”Withdrawn as scan picture shows identifying info”

My 18 year old nephew would suggest it's not a successful method. 😁

Why don't you like condoms btw? I hate them personally, but would never choose pulling out as a contraceptive method in place of some discomfort. (You may have other reasons though, so apols)

Anyway, if you go that route I highly recommend crowns. Their skinless is as close as feel as I've got to natural, and my ex- agreed. Flip side is they're only rated about 98% effective rather than 99%+ for normal thickness condoms.

If you're set on this method maybe use a spermicide too? Be absolutely sure you trust your partner's ability to withdraw too!

I got pg that way at 44 (first dc)

It worked for me for 30 years
