HELP, missed 4 pills!

Hi all,

Before I get started I would like to say yes, I feel silly enough as it is and I feel irresponsible…

Basically the beginning of this year I took my coil out due to problems and it kept slipping out after getting it put back in twice. Went on the contraceptive pill (combined) and was fairly ok with taking it on time. However, a lots happened this month in terms of work being stressful and having to deal with family issues which have completely had me distracted recently…

This month I’ve missed 4 pills. The longest I’ve gone noticing I’ve missed them is about 24 hrs. I can’t remember exactly but I think I missed 1 towards the start of the pack, 1 before ovulation and 2 this week but each time I’ve missed it and realised a day after I’ve doubled up.

Just wanted to get advice on what is the likelihood I’m pregnant and wanted to see if anyone’s gone through the same thing as me. After this, I’m definitely going to try another form of contraception!

If I am pregnant I wouldn’t mind, I’ll be a little nervous as I’ve been pregnant before and it didn’t work out but I’d still be happy even though the timing right now isn’t great!

Would love to hear some advice

Btw can’t take a test as of yet as my period this month isn’t due till 26th June

No one knows if you're pregnant and you'll just have to wait to find out. In the meantime, put a daily alarm on your phone to remind you to take your pill.

I’m not asking people to tell me if I’m pregnant I meant has anyone gone through this and got pregnant so I can have an idea of the likelihood as my doctor wasn’t really helpful

Honestly, no one can be helpful in this situation. There are so many factors involved no one on earth could tell you what the odds are. It's not that your doctor was unhelpful, they just can't give you an accurate answer.
