Going back on the pill and breaking out in spots

I understand there are more pressing issues in the world right now (I'm a single parent, worried sick about my children, one with SEN and cannot bring myself to watch the news anymore because it fills me with dread) and I don't want this to come across as selfish, but I just wanted some advice and to ask for options on something non-corona related.

I have two children one born 2015, one born 2016. They are 11 months apart. Up until I fell pregnant with my eldest I had always been on the pill. However since having children I never went back on it. My periods were always pretty regular after having children (they hadn't always been before, and I did have a spell when I was around 16 where they stopped for a year), During 2018, I spilt with my children's father and went through a stressful time, and went from around 9 and a half stone to 7 and a half stone. Since February 2019, I have not had a period (DEFINITELY not pregnant or anything like that).

I've been to the doctors and they just told me to eat more. My mother suggested on the combination pill to see if it might regulate my cycle. I've been on it a month now (finished my last one today) and my skin is dreadful. It's spotty, it's sore, the spots are causing scarring and it's bright red. Now, I've never had a problem with my skin before even in my teenage years, I've always had relatively good skin. However, since starting contraception again my skin is awfully

I'm wondering if this is due to the pill and is my body's way of getting used to the hormones? Any advice would be appreciated, especially if someone's experienced similar.

I have had a similar experience with spots on the pill. I went on microgynon at 17 so can't remember then. But within the past 5 years I've changed pill 3 times due to awful PMS and every time I've swapped my spots have been absolutely horrendous, more like a huge rash of tiny little painful blisters than spots which take a few months to settle down, but it got loads better once my body had got used to the new type. I came off the pill at Christmas and thought I'd got away without a huge reaction, but this month I've had terrible painful spots around my mouth nose and chin and it's so embarrassing going to work covered in spots at the age of 32 when everyone has such clear skin :( I think if you carry on with the pill things will eventually settle down once your body gets used to the hormones
