Can a Mirena coil "fall out"?

I can't feel the strings any more. I went to see the nurse and she said that the strings were gone but not to worry she's sure it will still be there, but can it fall out?! Could it possibly just not be there and she thinks it is...?

Yes they can migrate through the wall of the womb. You need to find out for sure if it's still there as if it's not you are not protected against pregnancy

Yep mine was discovered to be missing when I had an internal while having a horrific bleeding episode - had a scan and chest xray Shock to make sure it hadn't migrated elsewhere, looks like it probably came out with a clot or something. Got the implant after that!

@Confuzzlediddled my goodness!

I've not POAS and thankfully negative. Very relieved.

They can dislodge. My 32 year old DD is testament to that.
