I’ve just come off the pill for health reasons my husband refuses to wear condoms and has decided the pull out method will be ok for now. Has anyone had an nice surprises using the pull out method. I’d secretly be pleased if it failed DH not so much

Not the most responsible method of contraception but we have used it for most of our relationship. I've only ever got pregnant when we have not used this (so intentionally) and only 3rd pg took more than one cycle to conceive.

I think it's ridiculous when men say they refuse to wear condoms.
They simply wouldn't be getting sex then!

Sperm can live inside you for upto five days after unprotected sex and it is VERY hard to know exactly when you are going to ovulate, plus people have different cycles so you can get pregnant at times when you don't think your fertile. Precum can also get you pregnant, although it is fairly unlikely. If you don't want a baby I would recommend you insist on condoms tbh.

I posted this over a year ago. We successfully used the pull out for a year with no mishaps but are now actively TTC

I have one ovary, which is polycystic and I got pregnant twice using the pull out method. Second time we had no idea any of his stuff had, you know, gone in there. First was a v small amount and I assumed it was going to be v difficult for me to concieve. How wrong I was!
