Don't seem to be ovulating

I have noticed over the past few months, my regular ovulation symptoms have not been occurring. For example I would always get plenty of EWCM and notice ovulation pain. For the past 3 cycles I have been using ovulation sticks and while the line shows up in or around when I would expect ovulation, it is always a lot fainter than the control line and never gets any darker.
I presume head to the GP? But in the meantime, has this happened anyone else? I'm 35 in case that's relevant

If your cycles are regular and not too long I think you could benefit from a bit more data.

Have your tried digital ovulation sticks , testing twice a day (once between 2-4pm), charting your temperature?

The trouble with testing once a day is that you may be missing your LH surge (LH builds up in the early hours and really hits your urine in early afternoon). Using digital tests in the morning rules out misreading the results (I find ov sticks tricky) and charting can be used to confirm ovulation has happened.

Cycles regular as clockwork.
Thanks for the advice Polly99, that sounds a bit complicated but I'll try. I really feel though I am not ovulating at all. Are there blood tests that can be done- a bit clueless about all of this TBH

Yes, they can do bloods on day 21 of your cycle to confirm that your progesterone has risen (which is what happens after ovulation). They can also do day 3 tests to see if your follicle-stimulating hormone level is within normal limits.

I should add that I've been pregnant on a cycle where I never saw a positive opk. I think my LH surge is quite short and sharp and is easily missed. Clearly it had happened!

Regular cycles suggests that you are ovulating as far as I'm aware: i think it's much more likely you're missing your surge than not ovulating.

You could try temping for a month or two to see if you get the temp rise to confirm ovulation. Less complicated than blood tests and can be done at home.

Try testing at 2pm and 10pm with ic. I always caught my +.

If you didn't ovulate then I think your cycle would be a lot longer. Just my experience. Goes from 30 days to 45!

If you are not ovulating, then that is a perfect family planning method!

As however it could restart without warning, you should probably continue with barrier methods month-round until you can re-establish NFP. Do you use a combination of Natural Family Planning methods, and for how long have you been able to rely in it as a method?

Yes, it might be worth talking to your GP about any change in your menstrual cycle. Take your charts in, so you can show before and after the changes became pronounced.
