Just tried to use it today and few issues-
I have trimmed the stem but wonder if I should trim it more - as I can sometimes feel it, what will happen if there is no stem?
It seems to keep moving up and doesn't stay low as it says it should.
Should you be able to feel it on the outside? I've had to have a deep route for it.
Please help I really want this to work!

Hi, I have used one of these for years, I do remember at the beginning it felt a bit strange, and I think most of the issues you are having might just be a matter of using it a couple more days and getting used to it. The only thing you said that doesn't sound familiar is about it moving up, not had that problem, perhaps someone else will know about that. If you're having to deep route for it though, I wouldn't trim it any more, I think feeling it slightly is normal.

Mine always seems to migrate upward too, but it doesn't seem to be a problem. If you're having trouble getting hold of it, maybe don't trim the stem any more? I can feel mine sometimes too, doing some kegels seems to help it find the right place to be IYSWIM. Keep going with it, it's weird at first but after a while you get used to it!

I have cut the stem off mine. It does move up sometimes, but that's never caused me a problem. My fingers are still able to reach it.
Stick with it, it takes a few months to get the hang of it. I can't feel mine at all when it is in place.

I trimmed stem off mine, can't feel it and am able to get it out no problem

sebsmummy1 · 07/04/2014 09:25

Just remember that you bare down when getting it out, which allows you to grasp the bottom and break the vacuum. I don't really use the stem to pull it out although there is a little bit if stem left on it

I agree that you need to practise with it and suddenly it will just become second nature to get it in and out. I can't imagine using tamp

sebsmummy1 · 07/04/2014 09:25

tampons now, would seem really strange.

Thanks for replying 2 days in and it's a bit easier. I still have to spend a lot of time routing it outShock. But I have to say what an amazing idea I can certainly see - the benefits to me and the environment. Just brilliant. I will stick with for the moment.

If you're struggling to get it out, sit on the loo and lean back resting against the cistern. You can then remove it easily because you're more relaxed and the muscles holding it in place will be slacker (for want of a better word).
