Coming off pill as not agreeing with me: do these symptons sound odd?

I know the easiest answer is 'see your gp' but it's the weekend, i don't want to google or else i will make dh come back from pub while i sob that i am v v v v ill... so...

Prior to having 2 dc in 4 year, was on pill long term (about 10 years) started on dianette but got taken off it as doctors explained they didn't like it being used longterm, eventually used logynon ed, and v happy with it, then came off it when planned to have dcs.

Now about 4 yr later i have gone back on pill, and after 3 months, come back off it! The issue is not trying to find another method of contraception as dh has booked in to see doctors to get referred for a vasectomy, but my symptons when taking pill.

I can be ferocious a bit moody before my period is due, and i have vague recollections that the pill seemed to eradicate this (i did spend a bit of time on the 3 month injections and remember i was horrendous on them!). Now, it hasn't been making a dent n how crap i feel mood wise before my period, and I am getting stinging headaches too. Also, as soon as i have missed just one tablet in the middle of the pack, i started to have a slight bleed that looked after a few days like it had gone, then about just over a week later i forgot antother tablet and i have started a bleed again, like a period but not as heavy, and this has gone on for the past six days: i should be just coming up to my 'dummy' week: t;'s like my body is rebelling against being put on a chemically induced schedule!

Does this make sense? Is it 'normal' or have any other m'netters experienced this?

Dh is going to be nominated fr sainthood for putting up with me!

I think the symptoms are not going to be helped by your dropping a pill here and there - it may be causing the swings. Does the packet have information on short term side effects? Might be worth a read.

Agree that missing the odd pill here & there isn't really going to be doing a lot of good for you!

Headaches are common on the pill, but if they are terrible/don't go with painkillers, you need to see your GP.

Thankyou... I'll drag the 84 page information leaflet out that came with the pill! Grin
