Brownies Gold Award ideas

I have twins who need to come up with an idea for a game or craft or skill to teach their brownies unit to help them achieve their gold award.

One twin has come up with a game idea, the other twin who is AuDHD is a bit stuck- can anyone share any suggestions of what their kids or units have done please?

Other girls in our unit have taught sign language or done a game but I was thinking she might want to teach a simple craft (Kumihimo bracelet making for example, or some origami)?

Origami is an easy one (fox and butterfly option tend not to be too hard). There also making slime, decorating biscuits, clay/plasticine modelling, sewing together pre’cut felt flowers, self defence moves, potting on young plants…

Thank you, that's some great suggestions - slime could be a fun and interesting activity they would enjoy particularly!

sewing on a button or even a brownie badge
tying shoe laces (you can draw round your foot on card, cut it out, punch holes in it and thread laces through for practising on), although older ones should be able to do this already.
hair braiding
teach them a dance routine or a song with actions

I think my daughter explained what she had done to be awarded activity badge. This was requested by the leaders as they had some brownies who hadn’t done any and they wanted to show them how to go about it/ what was involved. Can you ask your daughter’s leaders what they would suggest?

Does she have any hobbies that she can share? Or a craft/activity linked to something she is interested in?

We have also had ours do something 'of service ' to the unit. So we've had them make Leavers books for girls going to sign, a song book, a cook book, a box of game ideas, a new pond for promise ceremonies (all ideas that the girls came up with themselves!) This might work if she's not very happy leading an activity, and for us is lovely as we have reminders of our girls long after they've left.
