What extra-curricular activities are good for a four year old girl?

I need to sign up for September.

Please bear in mind that we are in France and school doesn't do creative/fun extras (or even any proper sport)

She's bilingual English-French, so she doesn't need extra language tuition. I'm signing her up for beginner's ballet.

What else is good for four year olds? Gym? Music?

If she's in full time school she'll be knackered, mostly. If that's the case, the best extra curricular activity is SpongeBob Squarepants and his televisual friends. For a while, anyway.

If she's not in school fulltime, ignore the above until she is.

I'm planning swimming for this summer in England and more of a holiday class activity. Not very keen on dirty public pools in winter (we were swamped in coughs and colds already last year).

Singing/choir sounds like quite a good idea - will look into it. She likes singing a lot.

My four year old girl does swimming and ballet - tbh that's enough, although she's desperate to learn to ride... but I think they all go through that...

Anna,
You might want to find a combination singing/dancing class. IT seems to keep their attention more at 4 and it also let's them try a few things and see what they like to do. DD takes a ballet class that she has been in since she was 2. The class starts with ballet and then half way through the put on their tap shoes and carry on with tap. DD is 5 now and has been asking to quit ballet because it is "B... O... R... I... N... G..." But, I didn't want to put all this time into it and just completely ditch it. So I signed her up for a musical theatre class this term and at the end of term she has to pick musical theatre or ballet. (It will undoubtedly be musical theatre)
