I have three children (7, 5 and 3). 7 and 5 do piano, singing and recorder (they are happy with this - regularly asked if they want to keep going. They do).
The issue I have is that they both need - particularly the 5 yo - assistance/supervision with their practice. I am capable of doing it but work full time and it is not usually possible for us to do it every day. Our nanny is not able to (or at least says she is not and tbf doing anything that focusses on one of them with the other two there is fraught at the best of times). Husband works away a lot so can't be consistent with them.
I contemplated trying to get an older teenager at the local school (10 minute walk away) to come for an hour 4 nights a week to supervise music practice (half an hour each). No childcare - our nanny would be in the house at all times. Due to our jobs all adults are DBS checked. I contacted the school and asked if they knew of anyone who might be interested, and also put it on local facebook pages.
No one was interested. I still need some help to get them going with some consistency. Can anyone suggest what I need (other than a different nanny/job/husband/children. At present not prepared to change any of those). TIA
