The results are out, and my daughter was shortlisted but only offered an online program. What are the chances that someone will decline their place, allowing us to get in? How many kids are typically shortlisted? Is it worth it to pursue the online program? She is devastated but has another chance to try again next year. Thanks.

I would recommend looking at the Balletcoforum - https://www.balletcoforum.com/forum/9-doing-dance/

This is a forum dedicated to dance

Your DD has done extremely well. I have been out of this for so long I don't know the answer as to someone dropping out.

I would suggest if she auditions again to also try for Central, London Junior Ballet and Elmhurst if you can get there. I'm not sure if English National Ballet do a Junior Associates. I'm not sure about Tring anymore, my DD was at the Conservatoire there.

You will get a lot of information from Balletcoforum

@Purplebunnie gives some good advice there. Royal JA's is not the only associate programme, so maybe see if there are any others within reasonable travelling distance of where you live.
