Football for Girls

I'm not sure this is the right part of Mumsnet.....but here goes.

I have a very talented daughter who plays football. I know I'm probably being biased but she is really good. I've got 2 left feet and DH is terrible at sports so....anyway.

She's been playing since U5 level. Mixed boys/girls teams, a boys team, school team. She is in the pre-academy(ETC) of a club in London and doing well there.

She has been playing in her local district team for 2 years now. They're really good and she is a winger. When she started the coach was clear as she is new it will be up to her to prove her positioning and starting in the team. This is fine she accepted this and knows sports is competitive competitive. She spent a good 6 months being subbed on and off to prove herself.

However since about March a new coach has started and he bought his daughter along. She is good. But a lot younger. I wouldn't say she is better than my daughter or the other winger. But now he starts his daughter each time and my daughter had become the regular sub. This is starting to really upset her. She feels she doesn't want to continue. It's affecting her confidence and she is starting to lose motivation to play.

I need advice on how to speak to the coach. Do I speak to him. The original coach is still there. But he seems to be more management now ifyswim.
