Hello,
My daughter is applying for a music scholarship, but she has been without a music teacher for four months! It isn't as mad as it sounds, as she has reached a grade 5 standard and the school only requires grade 3/4 to apply. We spoke to the school and explained the situation and they said they would still be keen to hear her play... She is practising his pieces, although not to music (can she play without a pianist because she won't have practised it?!), but I have no idea how she can do the other parts as I am not musical at all - it says aural tests (rhythmic responses, vocal pitching, keyboard harmony tasks and note recognition) and questions on music such as on style, genre, composer and performance directions and questions of interpretation. Has anyone got any suggestions on how I can help her prepare? Any help would be gratefully received - we would pay for music lessons online if we could if you have any recommendations - as we can't get any slots locally as they are full (and we are going to start lessons again at the new school)...
