What is the main purpose of you attending and how old are you or the young person you are accompanying?

It’s a great experience but loud, mad and full of kids dressed like they want to be on dance moms. In between that are the more serious older kids who want to check out the vocational colleges (though several of the more well known ones no longer attend due to the dis-proportionate costs involved.

My DD and I are attending, she is 15 we are looking at vocational colleges for sixth form. We have two locally, but really need a third and fourth option so are looking at those. Though one possible Emil Dale will not be there.
I am looking to talk to the tutors understand the courses as I am a scientist so this is so far out of my comfort zone it is not true. Hoping to understand more the courses and onward progression.

Lonecat - I’d highly advise the CDMT conference if you haven’t already been. They have special sessions for parents explaining the audition and funding process and career advice as well as workshops for the kids (which are much smaller & more personal than Move It)

I'm just accompanying my 15yr old who will be performing. Not looking for colleges at all

Just have fun then. They might like to book a workshop for fun but they are huge and they pack them in. Food is expensive and there are loads of Dancewear companies.

I'll try! Thanks
