Anything eating related can be from the kitchen. Plastic, if possible. No need to buy special camping forks or plates or anything.
A head torch is incredibly useful. You can survive without, but she'll love to have one when she's looking for her toilet bag in a tent at night, or pitching tents and tying knots/hammering pegs in with 2 hands.
99% of what makes a camp enjoyable is how comfortable you are when you're doing it, so anything you can do to get warm, dry, practical clothing is fantastic. A decent pair of walking boots (waterproof, worn in) is right there with a bullet at number one. After that a good light fleece, good socks, and a couple of underlayers/thermal layers are great. A solid waterproof is a big plus. Several thin layers is much better than a giant thick jumper. A lightweight sleeping mat - noninflatable - would be super.
Basically, if you're warm enough and you've got enough padding when you sleep at night, the rest takes care of itself, and she'll enjoy it. Check out the sale racks at Go Outdoors or Mountain Warehouse or anything else you have locally, as often the girls stuff is the worst selling, and therefore tends to get discounted more heavily, or at least have more choice.
