Where can I get a replacement music rest for an upright piano?

I've searched the internet under all the terms I can think of - music stand, rest, rack, piano music stand etc... but I can find only find ones for a baby grand piano (alas, we don't have one of those) or those foldaway metal ones. The closest I've got is a man in America who will hand carve you one in matching wood. But DD has only just started and it seems an unnecessary expense when all she needs is to have the page of 'March of the Gnomes' open and upright!
Please help - I feel like it really shouldn't be so difficult!

Did you try "desk" in your search term as well? I found somewhere that does spare parts and sells the bookholders/metal clips but as our piano plugs in I'm clueless as to what exactly the missing parts should look like.

There's also this on ebay (someone posted a similar question on the ABRSM forum and this was linked as a possible solution)

You could always ask your piano tuner for ideas.

I assume it is a traditional acoustic piano. If you know the maker (and there should be a name under the lid) and it is a company that still exists, it MIGHT be possible to contact them and ask if such an item is available.

Or a piano repairer might be able to help; this Piano Tuners' Association might be worth asking:

Ferguson you are a genius! On checking for the name of the maker I came across the music rest nestled safely inside Grin
Not even sure my neighbours ever knew of this when they kindly donated. Now we can all plink and plonk our way through Mary Had a Little Lamb without a care in the world. Brilliant. Thanks both for your replies.
