DD is freezing during swimming classes

Looking for some good tips please!

DD1 is six years old and a skinny little thing. She has recently gone up a group at swimming and is now in the big pool which is colder than the pool she previously had lessons in.

She enjoys the classes and the teachers are great but there is unavoidably a lot of time being still while she waits for her turn. She is getting really cold and it's spoiling her enjoyment of the class.

I saw a kid there the other week with a wetsuit-type top on and thought that would be a good idea for DD but I have no idea of what to get her or where I could buy it from. I don't want something that's just going to be an extra layer of cold, wet fabric on her skin.

Advice please. As we're not in the UK, somewhere that sells on-line would be appreciated!

Something like this

Or this

I was trying to find images not products.
Rashy shirts might just make her colder but it might give her that psychological help that being more covered will make her warmer. Used to work for me years ago.
Can she not pop under the water regularly to keep warm or do extra activities in the water while waiting?

I wouldn't send her.

My kids were very slim and struggled to keep warm in most pools untul they were a bit older.
I taugh them to swim myself ( on holidays abroad ) when they were 9 or so.

Get her a snorkel suit from decathlon. It's much thinner and more flexible than a traditional shorty wetsuit, and zips up the front. Pretty cheap too.

Make sure it's a good fit, or it won't keep her warm.

Speak to the teacher.
He or she may be able to get them doing some movements/actions/tasks in waiting and listening times to help them all stay a bit warmer (and more focussed).
