Does that make sanse? Our school's parent council is going to sell lucky squares on a board of 100, at £1 each, and I believe there is some legislation which dictates we must give out so much in prizes according to how much we make in sales.....does anyone know? I've Googled gambling, lottery, laws etc but all the info is very professional!!

TIA

I don't know the answer, but wanted to suggest you repost in primary - I think more PTA people post there.

The only law I know of is that you can't sell raffle tickets in advance without applying for a licence. On the day is fine though.

Fairly certain there is no law regarding selling lucky squares.

I can't say I've ever hears of their being a limit, either.
As RC said, you need to apply for a licence if you want to sell raffles tickets not at the event, but other than that, I think it's up to you to set the prize list at a level that will balance making you money, agains tempting people to have a go.
