Don't you mean 'No Deal Brexit', you plank?

How stupid would you need to be to fall for that manipulation of words?

“Clean break” sounds like a good thing

Millions will fall for itSad

Yes, what that twat really means is no deal Brexit. He knows that a clean break Brexit is impossible, but he also knows that the majority of his supporters don't understand this.
God I loathe that man.

When arch-Brexie porn king Richard Desmond sold the Express to Mirror Group, some hoped for an outbreak of sanity, but it looks like they've decided to continue milking that readership until it dies off.

The only parallels I can think of for a nation succumbing to this sort of collective madness are Serbia and Rwanda.

Any "clean break" is going to be very messy but NF wouldn't want to admit that, would he

eurochick · 22/09/2019 14:02

There is no such thing as a clean break Brexit. A no deal will just be the start of a very long and probably messy negotiation of a new trading arrangement with no transitional arrangements to ease the pain.

AlphaJura · 22/09/2019 15:23

Should be called 'break the country' not clean break. It actually makes it more drawn out and messy. Ripping up all our international trade agreements and starting from scratch. Will take decades to renegotiate from a weakened position. Many of his followers will fall for it and don't understand that. I'm sure a lot of these brexiters would like to live in their own little bubble and have nothing to do with anyone. But it's not possible especially in this country. We need to have relationships and get goods from other countries, I can't see how making it harder helps.

MockersthefeMANist · 22/09/2019 15:36

In so far as they understand anything, No-Dealers are essentially mercantilists. They see a nation with a fixed amount of wealth and goods. Getting rid of the foreigners will mean more houses, school places and doctors appointments to go round. The houses will be cheaper because of the reduced demand, and everyone's wages will be higher because they are no longer being undercut by foreigners.

Imports from Europe will fall in price because we will tell them how much we are prepared to pay, and they will have to accept this. Our exports will increase and will bring in more revenue because we will put the prices up and the foreigners will have to pay because only Britan makes proper widgets that work.

As we return to pounds and ounces, 150watt lightbulbs and coal-fired power stations, everyone will be happier at this return to the natural order of things. The Africans and Asians will supply food and raw materials in return for beads and trinkets, and when they refuse to pay, Royal Navy gunboats will smash their ports to smithereens to teach all the others a lesson.

It's going to be great.

I suppose breaking your back and spinal cord could be classified as a "clean break" - even if it does leave you a paraplegic (if you're lucky) or a quadriplegic, dependent on others for the most basic of needs Hmm

Not exactly a life to look forward to Sad

It's in the Express.
