So, what happens in the next 5 weeks?

Will the buffoon be trying to get a deal or will he sit doing bugger all? What happens when Parliament is suspended? Nothing at all or are things still moving in the background? What will they do for those 5 weeks?

I think there is some sort of Stephen Kinnock connected initiative for cross party work starting today. I heard him mention it in an interview yesterday. But I was too Brexit-punch drunk to follow the detail.

HerSymphonyAndSong · 10/09/2019 06:13

They have their party conferences for part of it

StrakerAndBarlow · 10/09/2019 06:17

BoJo will do as little as possible...idle manliness...

...or is it manly idleness...😏

berlinbabylon · 10/09/2019 15:33

BJ will do as little as possible while JRM and Cummings try to hatch a plot I suppose.

AnneLovesGilbert · 10/09/2019 15:39

He’s in full on electioneering mode, hardly doing nothing. Nothing to get a deal, sure, but I think he’ll be peddling his wares all over the country prepping to buy as many votes as he can for the pending GE.

There are mutterings about putting the border in the sea and leaving NI a special case. DUP are opposed, but not as relevant as they were for May.

Ellie56 · 10/09/2019 16:01

Boris will just carry on being Boris. A vile twat faced oaf floundering in a swamp of his own inadequacies, while playing the buffoon and harbouring delusions of being Churchill reincarnated. Hmm

The rest of his odious clan will carry on smugly plotting and scheming, although most of them don't have a clue what's going on as they have been promoted way beyond their comprehension and abilities.

Meanwhile, hopefully, the grown ups on the other side will use the time to come up with a few cunning plans.

MockersthefeMANist · 10/09/2019 17:52

Phony Election War. BlowJob&Cum will promise free goodies to one all and warn of the dangers of baby-eating socialism.

DUP are opposed, but not as relevant as they were for May

But unionists are still very much relevant for peace in Northern Ireland and as co signers of the good Friday agreement

They can’t just be ignored because the English don’t need them anymore

Waving international peace treaty

Septembersunrays · 10/09/2019 19:05

Ellie I agree just swop Boris for corybn Grin

bellinisurge · 10/09/2019 19:22

The DUP have form for accepting a bung.

lickthewrapper · 10/09/2019 19:29

Boorish will probably try to get a deal, but because parliament is suspended there won't be enough time to debate it when they get back.

MockersthefeMANist · 10/09/2019 19:30

Speaking of bribes to the DUP

...Just when you thought the bats could not get more incontinent, the bridge between Scotland and N.Ireland is back, say C4 News. A bargain at just £15Bn (Osborne's austerity was 12Bn.)

Like a bridge over troubled water, I will lie me down....

@bellinisurge

Well considering that NI is the most impoverished region of the UK, our health service waiting lists are disgustingly longer than any other part of the UK and our airport was unveiled this week as the worst in the Uk I can’t really blame them for sticking the arm in. It’s the least they could do to try and negotiate favourable terms for their loyalty to a country that doesn’t give a shit about it.

We just need them to then form a government with Sinn Fein to spend it

Shocking Statistic from mark durkan at the weekend

“The population of England is 55 million and at the end of June 1,089 people were waiting over a year for a consultant-led outpatient appointment.
The population of Northern Ireland is 1.8 million and at the end of June, 105,486 people were waiting over a year for a consultant-led outpatient appointment.
Our waiting lists are 100 times bigger than a country with a population 30 times ours.”

bellinisurge · 10/09/2019 20:22

If they spent a tenth of the money a Bridge would cost in NI itself, that'd be amazing.

onalongsabbatical · 10/09/2019 22:25

But did anyone catch what BJ said on C4 news talking about his lunatic bridge - That's why we need Stormont - I kid you not, that's why we need Stormont, to facilitate his lunatic bridge, not, ya know, to run Northern Ireland or anything like that. I swore and shouted at the TV. It was small and over quick, anyone could have missed it...
