Slogan for banner wanted!

Going to anothereurope.org protest march tomorrow, wanted some thoughts about what would make a good, pithy banner slogan.

It is specifically about the outrage that proroguing is.

Not original but “pulling out never works”?

My friends son had a brilliant poster using the stock photo of the man walking with his girlfriend distracted by another woman - Theresa May was distracted by old and dead voters, ignoring young disillusioned voters.

InfiniteSheldon · 30/08/2019 19:08

Fuck democracy we want Brie?

Miljah · 30/08/2019 19:24

These are good! Any more?

I saw it in the Guardian, Éton Mess

Peregrina · 30/08/2019 20:47

Marina Hyde in the Guardian talks about a prorogues gallery.

This would be good pasted over pictures of Johnson and Rees-Mogg, highlighting the Rogues bit.

Ellie56 · 30/08/2019 22:09

Maybe quote his own words?

"Without a mandate from the British people"

"Gigantic Fraud"

I'm just going with a pic of Johnson with the word LIAR underneath. I might colour in a little moustache on him, a la Hitler.

Hope Merkel does not see that?

ConorMcGregorsChin · 31/08/2019 08:32

I thought I was being original when I coined the term "Eton Mess' a few days ago wrt Boris & Camerons delightful clusterfuck that is Brexit.
But I see it's been said by the Guardian too.
Could make a fortune on banners / t shirts if I crack on quick enough!

For banner, think headline 'Eton Mess' with a pic of Johnson's gammon esque cakehole stuffed with cream.

Peregrina · 31/08/2019 08:56

Boris is a wanker.

Unescorted · 31/08/2019 09:18

thank you... borrowed one & got "Boris' Britain is a Prorogue State on the other side"

Songsofexperience · 31/08/2019 09:54

fuck democracy we want brie

How bloody patronising. Without a working parliament with teeth to hold government to account on our behalf, the people's will is worthless. Parliamentary democracy is the only democracy. Direct democracy is tyranny. We need elected representatives to keep the government in check. It's really very simple.

InfiniteSheldon · 31/08/2019 11:06

Our representatives were elected on manifestos that overwhelmingly said they would support the referendum the largest democratic vote ever held in this country so yes Fuck Democracy we want Brie pretty much is the perfect slogan for you

Peregrina · 31/08/2019 16:38

a) it wasn't the largest vote, and b) proroguing Parliament because it's the only way you will get your policy through is dictatorship not democracy.

BTW to those Leavers who have said so much over the last 3 years about the unelected EU. Which of you voted for Dominic Cummings?

cherin · 31/08/2019 16:42

Why, they voted for Frottage, just so he can do his show of clownery in the EU parliament at our expenses. He must feel sooool good when he gets his EU stipend in the bank at the end of the month....I wish I was an admin assistant on the payroll there, and accidentally on purpose print “moron” all over his payslip....
