Is the difference the 'close alignment with the single market'?

Don't Labour want to retain rights as well?

Labour's deal is as close as we'll get to remaining but leaving. Corbyn and Starmer have had several meetings with the EU negotiation team and the EU team has spoken positively of it as the basis for a withdrawal agreement. We would have to follow EU trading rules and we would not get an input on them, but we'd need to follow those rules if we want to trade with them in any form.

It's disappointing the number of remainers that have dismissed it without looking at the detail. It presents a compromise between leave and remain, which is surely what we are looking for in the midst of this shit shower.

Worth noting that the day after the second meaningful vote, the EU negotiators actually met with Labour before they met with May. The reality is that they can do nothing in opposition - but they have built up a strong working relationship with the EU.

No its not! a CU and close alignment means whatever i want it to mean, its a cop out.
Turkey has a CU with the EU, it doesn't stop horrendous queues at the border.

If we leave, we need a CU and SM arrangement but even that is worse than we've got now.
