Basic question, does the WA rule out Norway plus etc?

Looking at some of the indicative votes next week, some of the options that could be voted on include Labour's preferred customs union deal, a Norway-plus EEA deal, a Canada-plus free trade deal. My understanding is that these paths could all be reached if the WA is passed as they come under the next phase?

Fervent remainer but I want to make sure I have my facts straight. I think someone wiser than me may know. Thanks

I think they can. The WA is just a path out and the terms of the transition period and afterwards to take care of our NI obligations under GFA.

The WA doesn't rule out any future arrangement.

That’s what I thought, which is why when indicative votes are done next week, I’m not sure whether they should be seen as alternatives to the WA

They can't be alternatives to WA unless they protect GFA.

WA just gets us out. It's not a deal. It's a framework for negotiating a deal.

The withdrawal agreement is not a deal.
It only sets the path for a deal that would properly deal with customs, immigration etc.

I believed that the WA does explicitly rule out membership of a customs union, that's why the back stop is specified. Still hoping for revoke and prosecution of Boris, JRM and Co.

As Bellinisurge says it is a pathway to exiting however I would expect that of the UK had a sincere change of heart that the EU would look kindly on remaining as nothing is ever cast in stone. It would take a serious 'about turn' though as many in the UK have been strongly Euroskeptic for decades.
With the WA passed it would depend on how the UK government behaves and whether there is a true sense that it wants to be In Europe.

But far better to revoke now!
