Please can someone explain what WA means? I keep seeing it mentioned but don't know what it stands for and Google is no help.

The WA is a large (585 page) document that has been agreed between all 27 EU countries AND Mrs May outlining HOW the UK leaves the EU.
There are 3 elements that are defined fully, the backstop which says there should be no border in Ireland, the status of citizens rights for all in the UK and EU countries, and a 'bill' that the UK needs to pay for ongoing access to the UK membership. This covers things such as pensions and commitments to joint projects. This was estimated as £39 Billion to cover the period from when the A50 was triggered almost 2 years ago, up to the end of the proposed 'transition period' (2020?). If the UK 'crashes out in 28 days time the 'bill' would be about £19 Billion I think.
All the other pages of the WA describe a controlled organised departure which most of the UK hate because it is seen as being preferential to the EU. On the other hand the EU are unhappy with it because many feel it gives too much to the UK.
The EU will not attempt to renegotiate the WA at this stage, but there is (I think) possibility to steer the path described within the WA to be either 'softer' or 'harder' departure.
During transition, (assuming the UK sign the WA) most of the trade and legal dealings between the UK and EU remain the same but some don't like it because during this time the UK has to follow existing and any new EU rules but cannot influence them. This is not overly dramatic as it is the way Norway for example works. It follows EU rules but to keep membership costs down it is not directly represented in Brussels by it's own MEPs, although it can lobby and talk to other countries MEPs. While the UK might like a 'Norway' model, it has to be considered that the UK needs to interact far more with the EU than Norway needs. UK/EU trade / manufacturing is far more integrated and complicated.

WA = Wallowing Around

WA = Weakening Again

WA = Wasting All

WA = Welshed Again

WA = Wandering About

WA = Win Again (EU version)

WA =Want All (EU Version)

WA = Wallies Again (EU version)

Many many more I am sure

@MissedTheBoatAgain has not lived in the UK or E.U. for 30 years. Obviously it's a bit boring in their time zone in the morning.

MP's have rejected May's pay 39 Billion to remain deal by 149 votes. Best news I have heard since the May deal was rejected by 230 votes. Good that some MP's still have a pair.

Lots of bots around too, which is fun.
