What happens to disabled or carer EU citizens?

I have read that EU citizens will be able to stay, just like non EU citizens, but that to have permanent right to live here they'll, like non eu citizens, need to be working and earning a certain amount to have a "right to reside"
So what happens to all those not working, including disabled people and carers?

Depends what country they are from.

What with all EU countries being sovereign states we are having to make a deal with each one.

Look on the embassy page of their country of origin.

Are you in receipt of UK benefits? Are you ordinarily resident in the UK? Is the UK your main home and can you prove this?

If you are also in receipt of ESA or IS then you should contact the DWP direct. Do not be afraid to ask those people who can answer direct.

Eu citizens here before 29 march will be able to remain based purely on their presence here not any income requirements. Longer term, new arrivals will need to meet the same requirements as non EU citizens
