Northern Ireland Brexit plan could see fuel rationed to 15 litres a week

Starting to really worry. Just read this on Belfast Live.

Northern Ireland civil servants are planning for a range of Brexit fallouts including fuel shortages that could lead to motorists facing a 15 litre a week fuel ration.
Senior officials insist much of the contingency planning is for scenarios that are unlikely to occur, but that they must be prepared for a range of eventualities.

It is understood a number of staff in key roles have been involved in ‘war games’ style exercises with them being asked to deal with various scenarios including lorry-loads of live chickens stuck at the border and public transport grinding to halt.
Fuel shortages are also a scenario being looked at as a possible outcome of Brexit, according to sources. The Department for the Economy played down the possibility of fuel rationing.

I'm really sorry. It's all I can say. NI was at the forefront of my mind in the referendum. It obviously wasn't in others'.

I've heard this as well, from a friend currently working on a government contract ( in Northern Ireland)
They are reportedly about to advise stocking up on food and fuel. For us this means pet food especially, as maintaining a supply of dog & cat food is apparently not a government priority.

I hate buying into all the panic, but...

It's all such a mess. Of course NI will be the last to get supplies if there end up being shortages in food and petrol.

I thought people were panicking for no reason but this seems to really hit home that things really are a mess and goodness knows what's going to happen.
