As the title say, who is planning to move in uk when the Brexit will begin? Me and my family have to come back in uk. My husband will back there in 1 month and me and my daughter in a second time. But what happens if me and her can't go in as I am lower skills.

Under the current agreement you have until 31 December 2020 to get here and be working / dependant etc, unless your husband is British?

Sorry to sound brutal - are you real? There has been the odd post in this thread with people trying to paint a negative picture of immigrants.

Thomasinaa · 10/10/2018 17:37

There is no current agreement! Likely that a crash out Brexit will happen end March.

@Thomasinaa yes there is a current reciprocal agreement with regard to UK citizens rights in Europe and vice versa. It is on the Home Office website.

Rosy87 · 11/10/2018 13:37

@bellinisurge what do you mean? I don't understand sorry!

@Rosy87 - I apologise if you have a genuine question. There has been a spate of posts on MN by people deliberately trying to paint a negative picture of anyone coming into this country as an immigrant- coming here with the main purpose of putting a drain on education and health resources without contributing themselves.
I am from an immigrant family myself and have friends who were not born in UK but who have made their lives here and make a valuable contribution to the UK economy.

If we have no deal Brexit that may or may not be true. As pp said there is no current agreement. The British Government have unilaterally decided that's the policy based on 'good will' but nothing further than that. If the government saw fit, they could change that tomorrow without warning and without consultation. Even EU citizens who have been here for some considerable time are not guaranteed that they will be able to stay. All they have is the word of the government.

At the moment reversing this would be politically controversial, which makes it unlikely, but its certainly not beyond the realms of possibility with no deal.

No deal would produce even more political instability and volitity which makes it impossible to predict what might happen. Given it could tear the democratic foundations of our country apart, such is the seriousness of this, I'd urge caution and not take what it says on the home office website as necessarily set in stone.

Me!
But we all have British passports, so it's returning home rather than moving to a new country.
Just hope there are jobs to be had. I'm not sure I can manage more than another year in our current country.

I am not sure that is a reassuring statement, given the nonsense that is going on!
