I might be there. Or might not get the energy to go. But let's have a laugh, shall we? Let's mate the good old British humour with the endearingly cool Mumsnet slang.
Please do bring it on.

"Who knows what the plan is?"

I thought that was your banner!

mrsquagmire · 19/03/2017 10:39

I’m going to carry on being literary:

“This country is planted with laws from coast to coast, and if you cut them down, do you really think you could stand upright in the winds that would blow then?” (Man for All Seasons, Robert Bolt)(too long)

“[False] patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel” (Samuel Johnson)

“Someone has blundered” (Tennyson)

The next one is Kipling, far too long but so relevant:

“For undemocratic reasons and for motives not of State,
They arrive at their conclusions--largely inarticulate.
Being void of self-expression they confide their views to none;
But sometimes in a smoking-room, one learns why things were done.”

“Puppet on a string” (meaning May) - Sandy Shaw

Massive Whitney pic. on placard.

Huge, clear letters "I WILL ALWAYS LOVE EU"

Add pic. of UK kissing EU

(OPTIONAL: Add a dangling bag of Pom-Bears from Whitney's hand, as an in-joke reference for MNers...) Wink

"No one believes anything I say because it's not on a bus"

Maybe with some facts on the back.

Or "If the NHS gets £345 million extra instead of cuts, then I'll stop Remoaning"

MakemineaGandT · 20/03/2017 11:12

Anyone else made their banner yet?!

Valentine2 · 20/03/2017 15:23

I have come up with something really cool (at least to me Grin) but I can't share it here, isn't it? Smile
Here we go, off the edge of the cliff on 29th! Doesn't matter what comes next, I want to do it all smiling now.

"We cannot turn our backs on Europe"
Boris Johnson, 24 June 2016

Doobigetta · 20/03/2017 21:20

I was tempted to get

Come and join us in the metropolitan liberal elite!

Badders123 · 20/03/2017 21:22

#keepikeameatballstarifffree

GreenPeppers · 20/03/2017 21:32

Badders Grin

Valentine2 · 20/03/2017 23:19

Badders is winning so far though I would amend it to something that includes cheap but trusted Billy.

Stop Brexit ( banned slogan now Shock)

What about the Battle Bus?

May's tory majority was gained through election practices under police investigation.

LittleLionMansMummy · 21/03/2017 10:06

Sorry op but I can't get past I might be there. Or might not get the energy to go.

What are you thinking with your airy fairy indecision?!

drwitch · 21/03/2017 10:12

If "the people" told you to jump off a cliff would you?

Valentine2 · 22/03/2017 22:21

LittleLionMansMummy
I am feeling quite down because of all this. And I am facing a few other things whose detail will out me.
I won't be using any of the above for fear of outing myself though. Grin

OP I have come up with something really cool (at least to me grin) but I can't share it here

Of course you can. If it's cool then hundreds of people will copy it and the message will spread. Even if no-one copies it you can maintain anonymity by claiming you got the idea from a mumsnet post...

ThaliaLuxurySpa · 26/03/2017 13:51

OP,

Did you go, in the end?

If yes, what was the general atmosphere, in light of recent events in London?

ThaliaLuxurySpa · 26/03/2017 14:10

This humour's possibly the genius work of a MNer...anyone prepared to own up? Wink

oliviafrombolivia · 26/03/2017 17:12

I was there, it was AMAZING, I even turned my grumpy husband who thought it was a waste of time. It was huge, and news coverage belies the scale of the attendance. The first time I have felt truly positive since 24th June last year. Filled with likeminded people, families, oldies, young people in good humour. No trouble, no bad temper, sunshine.

Fawful · 26/03/2017 17:27

I saw 'Barbarism begins at home', which I thought was v apt on many levels Smile

GreenPeppers · 26/03/2017 20:36

Some signs at the March last Saturday
www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/unite-for-europe-london-march_uk_58d67cd9e4b02a2eaab48312?

I loved the
'Let's not trust the withdrawal method' Grin

Tanith · 27/03/2017 07:39

Maybe it's because I work with children, but my favourites:

The Leavers on the bus tell lies, lies, lies
All day long!

and

Theresa the Turncoat packed her trunk
And turned Britain into a circus.
Off she went with a trumpety Trump
Trump, Trump, Trump.
