See here
I have a booking with them for £1400.
I am not looking forward to losing my holidays and claiming Section 75 with my credit card company and probably encountering losses anyway among 110,000+ other travellers.
What have you done, Leavers??

the pound was almost 1:1 against the euro a few years back. As far as I know, we coped.

this dodgy holiday company left ABTA and ATOL. Now, why would you do that?

My friends' company has lost so far 40% of its non-EU bookings since the Paris attacks. Japanese, Thais Chinese Koreans Taiwanese who spend at least £5000 per head. They do not just come to the UK they visit other European countries as it is usually a trip of a lifetime.
Being caught up in any trouble at the very least means attractions being closed down, delays at airports/ports, routes being cancelled at the last minute and so on .
Their European sector has fallen only about 20% but still alot for small
companies.
In addition there will be a large number of independent travellers GB
and foreigner who may have cancelled trips due to security concerns and the lack of comfort of traveling in panicky conditions.
Difficult to provide statistics on these

Exactly Special the exchange rate has been at this level and worse in the past. 2015 was about 1.4, Summer 2014 it was about 1.25 and Summber 2013 it was 1.16. So last years rate was great for those travelling to Europe but it was not really the norm and the fluctuations are surely something that any travel company would factor into their business planning.

When we were in the UK last year, sterling was trading close to €1.50

But if you look at the last 10 years, that was unusual, its been much lower for most of the time.
