Trade agreements and freedom of movement

Hope someone more knowledgeable than me can answer this. It's been said that to agree our own trade agreements with the EU, we would have to allow the same freedom of movement that we already do.

I'm just wondering why that is, and if so, why it doesn't seem to apply to the rest of the world. The EU trades with many countries all over - do they also have to agree to this?

I agree fireplace though I am no expert. Still got disadvantages though, so I don't understand why it is better than what we've got now. If anyone can tell me, please do!

The way the EU are playing the game at the moment, I wonder if it will be more a case of what we can get, rather than picking the type of model we would like.

Absolutely Grace.

Well of course. You can only negotiate a good deal from a position of strength, and the UK is now weak. Far from getting back 'control' we're now very much reliant on whether the pragmatism of Angela Merkel can outweigh the punitive spirit of Junker etc.

I'm just relieved we won't be dragged blindly into TTIP

You do realise that it was the UK fighting for TTIP most, and a lot of the EU was against it?
