I was born European and British

It is part of MY identity

I am happy to have been born into Europe and have friends from Romania, Poland, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece, Estonia and Portugal

How is it right that a cross in a box can take away the identity I have had all my life, against my will? Without informed discussion, without solid reasonable arguments, without respect for the people that have lived alongside and with us for decades

Why don't we join together and tell the politicians that have divided us -

I am European

Jamie I have travelled wide throughout the world.

I do not want to leave my country of birth - I love it- and do not need to move as I am sure you know dual passports are not unusual. I want to fight for it to return to the wonderful country it can be.

And I didn't particularly want to leave my country of birth, but sometimes needs must if you want to live your life under a particular set of circumstances.

Such a shame we can't find a way to express positively what we want

We have gone through decades of creating unity - why destroy

I am EUropean

The day the Empire signed that damn treaty was the day the Empire died.

If this means what it appears to mean, then you simply reinforce remainers views about brexiters being a bunch of old, uneducated folks reminiscing about a long disappeared empire where we lorded it over Johnny Foreigner.

Lol true ron

OTOH after a week which has seen a former Tory party leader raise the possibility of military action against Spain, and the UK gutter press has enthusiastically endorsed this point of view, I think it's probably appropriate to call out delusions of empire.

Have we seen a single Brexiter condemn the ridiculous behaviour of some senior Tories and the papers that support them? If they won't speak up then we need to.
