Tampons and jars of out-of-date baby food: Most bizarre things you have seen on Freecycle?

I have recently been offered 'four tampax' and 'several jars of out-of-date baby food, some are just a month or two past their use by date, some several months'. What's the most bizarre offer / request you have seen on Freecycle?

ProfYaffle - I agree, it's the grabby Bugaboo and Wii requests that wind me up. DH has banned me from receiving the omnibus emails now, as they were causing me too much stress!

Now I'm just remembering to use it for the things that you can't find a new home for any other way (and yes, I would include spare unused nappies in that, so don't have a problem with the unused tampax personally). But am still kicking myself a bit for giving away £90-worth of John Lewis swinging crib, hardly used mattress and bedding to somebody who I now realise is on there every week (several times) asking for more and more and more stuff. Wish I'd taken it to Fara Kids like I meant to.

Half a box of condoms as the owner turned out to be allergic to latex.

Isitme - I've given away loads of unused nappies too when my dds have gone up a size or something. I once had a whole load of newborn nappies collected by someone who was taking them to the NICU at the local hospital.

at ProfYaffle - you see, that's what freecycle is all about!

I'd begun emailing people who asked for things with advice on how they might get them, e.g. where to hire a tens machine, or suggesting to buy an Ikea highchair for a tenner instead of begging for a Stokke TrippTrapp. I hoped freecycling advice was still in the spirit of the thing...

I gave away DS's midi sleeper bed last week. He was getting too big for it and needed a proper sized single bed. Had about 20 requests and the one name I drew out of the proverbial hat who stated "would love this as son needs bed, no money etc" didn't bother to reply to my email re arranging to collect it. Honestly a "thanks but actually don't need it now so offer it to someone else" doesn't take moment does it.

Couple who finally collected were so grateful as their son had outgrown his cotbed and they were looking for a "big boys bed".

I love Freecycle and tbh the "I desperatly want.. er I mean need a plasma screen" requests make me laugh. I mean they surely do not actually get them.

Tampons are GREAT for stopping nose bleeds.

We had about 20 2 kilo bags of ice (bought ones, not ice we'd made) following a party in the summer. I offered it and only had one response from someone telling me to put it down the sink. I can clearly see how it would be funny, but I honestly felt that someone may use it for another party and it seemed a shame to use the energy to freeze and transport it and then throw it down the sink!

While something like 4 tampons is a bit odd, offering larger amounts is perfectly reasonable, IMO.
