Mooncup advice please - mine keeps twisting sideways!

Am on my second month trying out the mooncup. First few attempts were terrible, leaking all over the place.
The I realised my cervix was much lower than I thought and a bit to one side IYSWIM. I guess this is what they refer to as a tilted cervix?

Anyway, I started putting it in a little to one side and it seems to collect very well. The problem is that it keeps twisting sideways, so its almost horizontal
It also doesn't feel quite right ie. I can feel it all the time inside me.

Anyone else had this problem? Any advice?!

I had the same problem with it tilting over sideways and also being able to feel it all the time. I changed from the larger size to the smaller and now it works fine. Doesn't help if you already have the smaller size though

Mmmm, I have the post-30, post baby one - I guess that would be the larger one!
Not sure I want to fork out another £20 tho'...

Its a hard one isn't it, I know they used to exchange/refund if they didn't work out, I don't know if they still do, might be worth a call?

I'm on my first month with a Mooncup and have exactly the same problem, and I definitely have a tilted uterus/cervix as I've been told so by my gynae.

When I try to remove it I find it really difficult to break the seal and it feels like I'm about rip my innards out. I hope it gets easier!

Have you cut the stem off enough? You only need a tiny bit to be able to get hold of it. That would be very uncomfortable if it's sideways.

Mine sometimes seems to want to go in at a strange angle so it's almost horizontal, but once it's in I can't feel it. Occasionally I haven't put in in far enough which is really uncomfortable. However, it's never leaked whatever angle it's at.

The best place to try and insert is when you are in the shower I think.

Yes, I've cut the stem as far off as possible and that definitely helped. It seems to want to go in at a slight angle, which is fine. Its the way it swings round into a horizontal position and me being able to feel it, that I can't stand.

Dilettante - I don't have a problem removing (even with a very short stem) as long as I bear down enough. Have you tried that?

newnamer what you're describing of it swinging round horizontal & then feeling awful is just the problem I had. I found it particularly happened when cycling, which was really unhelpful as one of my reasons for getting a mooncup was because washable towels are uncomfortable on a bike.
