I am a convert! No more nasty tampons for me. I love it, it is indeed as fab as everyone here has said!

Have only had 1 minor splashing incident on removal, unfortunately it was in a restaurant last night but thankfully the sink was in the cubicle with the loo, Phew!

Thanks everyone for converting me!

Don't forget that you don't need to empty it as often as you used to change a tampon, I find that I rarely ever empty out outside of home. Except for my heaviest day I generally empty it in the morning (and reinsert it in the shower) and before bed.

I do love it. I went to stay with a friend at the beginning of the week and forgot to bring it with me and wasn't sure whether my period would start or not and my heart sank at the thought of having to use tampons again.

Thanks Bran. Unfortunately I had no choice, yesterday was my heaviest day and we'd been out since 3pm (works xmas party). I thought come 9pm I'd better change it, thankfully I was just in time going by how full it was.

Actually I've learned quite a lot about my body over the past couple of days. I'm quite shocked at how much I actually bleed, I didn't realise it was so much!

Yes I am never fortunate enough to be able to only empty at home. But the good side is that you don't need to remember to take spares out with you.

MumHadEnoughTinsel · 13/12/2008 21:55

Thats true bozza, its so great!!! Hark at me with "change it", I did of course mean empty it, lol.

I have actually managed to even discuss it with dh in the past half hour, he would have no hearing about it and told me it could be my wee secret! rofl .

Said I could only sneak it in the dishwasher if he didn't see it, rofl. So we are progressing in that area too!

Now that I think about it, only emptying it at home probably has quite a bit to do with having given up work at Easter and not having a social life .

There was someone on MN, I can't remember who now, who had been trying to persuade her GP that she had abnormally heavy periods for ages and was continually fobbed off (GP said that it always looks more than it really is). Then she changed to a mooncup and could accurately record exactly how much she was bleeding because there are volume markers on the cup, and her GP referred her for treatment. I love happy mooncup stories.

I have never used a tampon since...woohoo

Lulubee · 18/12/2008 23:12

I have had mine 7 months now..and still find on heaviest days that it leaks. But when I remove it, it doesn't look even half full?! Am I doing something wrong?

FeminineWear · 28/12/2008 00:54

Are you putting it too high, like a tampon? It is supposed to sit quite low?
Do you have the right size?
