Which Toothpaste?

DH and I switched a while ago from Colgate to more eco-friendly brands. I am currently using Kingfisher and he is using one from tescos (Toms or something similar...name escapes me). Whilst Dh is happy with his choice, I am not overly impressed with mine.
Any recommedations, please!

Just be aware that you should always use a toothpaste with flourde in. I started using some aloe vera toothpaste with no nasty chemicals in. Went to th dentist about 4 months later and he knew! My teeth had gone soft and he knew straight away why, without me saying anything.

You can get toothpastes like that with flouride, I got ds a toms of maine childs one but it's so mild it doesn't give you that 'minty fresh' feeling.
So we've all gone back to aquafresh.

I also use Toms, but was disappointed when I heard they sold out to Colgate a couple of years ago.

My partner uses Green People which he loves, again this is a natural paste without fluoride. The whole issue of fluoridation is quite interesting - fluoride was added to toothpaste before water supplies in the UK were fluoridated pre 1920s. Now, it is seen my many as not necessary and even harmful (fluorosis). Some research in countries that have removed fluoride from water show improvements in dental health. There are so many confounding variables, not just whether fluoride is present, that really, I would make an individual choice on the information I choose to think is most safe and relevant for me and my family and how we live.

we don't have flouride in our water where I live squidler and the health of my teeth suffered when I changed to flouride free toothpaste.

I use Euthymol, and the kids do too, surprisingly as it is very anisepticy and strong. They hate minty floavoured pastes.

I just googled Euthymol out of interest and apparently it ig good for people who suffer from mouth ulcers because of the antiseptic, and now, thinking back I used to get them quite often and cannot remember the last time I got one...hmmm gonna make sure dd puts more on her brush as she has had 2 in the last month.
