I don't actually need much talking into as I want to go for it but I need all the gory details. He is a little dot (9-12 months clothes) and doesn't wet much and generally does 1 poo a day. The main issue is my laziness re washing. I currently do 3 loads all on a Sunday, 1 whites, 1 pinks and 1 darks. I need you to talk me through right from the basics of what to buy and how many and what to do with them when soiled ie buckets and washing machine etc. I feel so guilty when I see my wheely bin full of disposables. I know he is approaching potty training age, but I imagine he will be nearer to 3 (DD was 18 months) but DS can't talk yet so don't imagine will be soon- and will be long enough to make a difference. Thanks.

well I am so not the expert
I have heard Tots Bots spoken of highly by lots of people
I think you might like fluffles as they are so cute
and sleepy cat also said fuzzibuns
why not lurk around on the nappy threads and look for recommendations? or start another thread specifically asking for which ones to use?

Pocket nappies are nice and slim - my ds wears bumgenius and fuzzi bunz easily under his normal jeans. There are a couple of mumsnetters in the small business classifieds [cough cough] who sell lovely slim pocket nappies who would gladly give you non biased advise

"Good advice as always"

you know I just make most of it up as I go along, right?

now there is some PROPER advice from NappyZone

4andnotout · 28/05/2008 22:18

I use a mix of pocket nappies mainly minki's during the day as you can stuff them with anything absorbant and make them as absorbant as you need. I use fluffles and a motherease wrap at night. Totsbots are also very easy to use.

Oh God, its getting more and more confusing with people making suggestions. You are all so kind and I am too pissed confused to think straight. Nappyzone can you email me directly [email protected] and maybe we could speak on the phone too?
