Ring cameras recording me

My husband has recently bought a series of Ring cameras and installed them at every door outside our house. He's paranoid that someone is going to burgle us even though we live in a fairly decent area and the house isn't in an 'opportunistic' area - he's a hoarder which brings its own set of challenges. We had an older set and when we're on holiday he's able to watch my parents dropping our kids home from school, which is creepy if nothing else. My issue is that every time I leave our house he gets a notification. I'm not up to any badness but I don't like this at all and have told him it's controlling, verging on abuse several times. Am I overreacting? Is it legal for him to film me in my house without my consent because it's also his house?? I have suggested a padlocked gate to no avail

If you are on holiday, who is looking after the kids when they are dropped off after school?

Could you download the app on your phone so you get the notifications instead? That way he is reassured about the home security?

Ring cameras purpose is what he is using them for but if you feel uncomfortable this is a way around it.

I would put a smart plug on the socket that has the broadband router plugged in. Turn the router off as you leave, then switch it back on remotely once you have left. Reverse it for coming back. Without an Internet connection, Ring doesn't work.

The trouble is that that's what ring cameras do (although obviously you can turn the alerts off)

I think, if he's refusing to turn the alerts off (which I can understand, as that's why you have them) then I'd be dithering about on the various outside cameras whenever I felt like it. Make the alerts so annoying he turns them down.

You do have access to the cameras too right?

My kids are teenagers and one is 20 so my parents drop them off

I can't see anything wrong with it?
From what you're saying it's just external doors so it's filming the outside and outside the door.
It doesn't sound like he's actually trying to spy on you from your post
