My old plastic one ( was one of my children's) is on its last legs.

I like Tangleteasers.

Depends on your hair type IMO. I've got a tangle teezer wet and dry, which has a handle.

It's no good for DS who has really thick hair. He has a Denman.

What's the budget? If you want one for life then get a la bonne brosse. I got one in the Black Friday sales after thinking about it for a while and it's very good indeed

££ though

@PickledOwl1

Yes I'm looking to buy sustainably. Are they lots of money?!

@Sajacas @imnotwhoyouthinkiam

I have lots of thin hair according to my hairdresser.

Lost a bit cold capping for cancer but I was lucky to be a cold capping success story. You'd never know from my hair that I had cancer.

What about Mason Pearson hairbrush I recently had one for Christmas and I bought myself a comb which was £29 the hairbrush was £110 it's the handy size which is ideal for me some do go up to £250 or more etc but they also do a sensitive boar bristle brush which is suitable for thin hair.

Ninabella spiral brush. It was recommended on here and I wouldn't get anything else now.

EveryDayisFriday · 31/12/2024 21:04

Spiral brushes are good. Brilliant for wet hair or sensitive scalp. I have lots of thick hair and it gets through after a few tries even on knotty wet hair.

@EveryDayisFriday

My memory of spiral brushes is getting them caught in my hair!

@FunkyMonks

It's a lot to spend when you are gambling that you like it/ suits your hair.

I have La Bonne Brosse and the GHD paddle brush. They’re both good for different things.

DreamingOfASilentNight · 31/12/2024 21:40

I swear by my mason and Pearson brush. I've had two them for 30 years. I have masses long very fine hair ( overall loads of hair). They are really good for the condition of hair and keep it tangle free without snapping it. I use the bristle and nylon combination brush. The denman and boots ones look the same but are absolutely no comparison and a waste of time. The brushes are costly but last an eternity and are really good for your hair.

Eco living bamboo oval hairbrush. I have two and find them really nice and gentle on my hair
