sorry i don't know the answer, but would love to if anyone alse does.
5.50 does sound rather a lot

Blandmum · 13/03/2008 17:48

any reason why you can't use a plastic sandwitch box that would be totaly re-usable?

BooBooFlip · 13/03/2008 22:29

Or one of these. My DD has the ladybird one and its FAB.

ShinyDysonHereICome · 13/03/2008 22:30

Rainbow Bags from Asda

99p for about 20 I think

LyraSilvertongue · 13/03/2008 22:32

Get a box. Muji sell bento boxes that are just the right size for a sandwich plus carrot/cucumber sticks.

didindan · 13/03/2008 22:33

what a fab idea boobooflip

LyraSilvertongue · 13/03/2008 22:34

bento box

southeastastra · 13/03/2008 22:35

blimey wish i'd bought shares in greaseproof paper bags.

jooseyfruit · 14/03/2008 09:33

thanks!

rather pathetic reason i can't use boxes is i share custody of kids with ex dp and things just don't get returned to my house.

i think the rainbow bags are now made of plastic, i did used to use them!

Furball · 14/03/2008 09:53

what about big rolls of greaseproof paper you could cut to size, fold up the sandwich and seal with a teeny bit of tape?

Lmccrean · 14/03/2008 14:02

bbf - thanks for that fab idea! never seen them before.

ecoworrier · 14/03/2008 14:08

They look interesting, but wouldn't you have the same problem with them not coming back to your house? I would go for Furball's idea of greaseproof squares, sealed with a tiny bit of masking tape.

SmartArse · 14/03/2008 14:09

Those are great, BBF! Probably a stupid question, but can you use them for things other than square-shaped sarnies, i.e. pitta bread, bagels, etc.??

BooBooFlip · 14/03/2008 20:32

Yep, my DD has pittas sometimes and croissants and they're fine for those. The wraps aren't massive so sometimes a bit of jiggling and cutting is required!

Go · 15/03/2008 21:42

BooBoo - are they washable?

BooBooFlip · 16/03/2008 21:23

Yes, they're washable. The plastic side can be wiped or rinsed and that's usually enough. My DD spilt some red smoothie on the material side of hers and I gave it a wee hand-wash but they can have the "occasional" machine wash too.

GoForFairTradeEggs · 20/03/2008 20:38

Ordered two and then arrived today. they look great. Am going to post on the chat thread so everyone knows about them! Thanks for the link in the first place booboo.
