www.ethicalbabe.com has this fantastic new hairpowder shampoo that comes from a tree. It's enitrely organic and you make it up yourself by mixing a bit water together with the powder. It's used in india alot and I tried it on my hair and it's fantastic. There are two main ones that they stock, Indian soapnut aritha powder

Does it leave your hair not greasy?
I bought an organic shampoo recently, which said you didn't need conditioner either, and it was pretty awful.

It was from a pretty well known organic company and fortunately it was only a small tube but I wasn't very pleased.

I still find it hard to get over not having the lather (I know it's sls but it's years of 'conditioning', pardon the pun into thinking there should be a good lather!

What sort of hair do you have?

No it didn't leave my hair greasy at all. My hair is prone to being greasy in general, but I certainly didn't find it make it any worse. Not too sure if it's recommended that you forget the conditioner or not. I can check it out for you from the supplier, but my gut reaction is that this is a personal choice as everyone's hair is so different.

These hair powders are so different to anything else you find in the shops that it's probably best not to compare. You won't get that famous lather that all the high street shampoos generate, in fact once you mix the powder with a bit of water (instructions are included), it actually becomes a paste that you massage into you hair and scalp. It's so natural and organic and doesn't look anything like a shampoo. If you saw it in a shop but was standing slightly away so that you couldn't read the label, you would think it is a ground cooking herb.

I hope I've helped and not put you off, but it is a fantastic hair powder that I can only say positive things about.
