Good Energy is an electricity supplier that supplies 100% renewable energy. They don't use fossil fuels or nuclear power. On their website they say it costs an average family a few pounds more each month, but my direct debit went down when i moved to them.

Here is their website. You can sign up on-line.

This is a list that shows how the different suppliers compare.

I know i sound like their marketing department but I'm just a mum with small kids worried about GW!!!

shame they don't do nuclear though. Are there any suppliers that do green + nuclear but no fossil fuel electricity?

ballbaby · 10/03/2008 18:03

I know that Good Energy don't supply electricity from fossil fuels or nuclear. Not that keen on nuclear either myself.

if we really want to reduce our fossil fuel use though, then nuclear really is the only way to go in the short term at least.

One of Good Energy's philosophies is to build demand for renewable energy - the more that is supplied that way the less nuclear waste we will need to produce

My direct debit has now gone down to £19 a month so renewables really don't have to be expensive. I am a bit obsessed with energy saving though. But that's for a family of four in a 3-bed 3-recep house.
