Making your own cleaning sprays

Anyone got an easy eco home made cleaning spray recipe they can share with me (I'm a beginner)? I've been reading about white vinegar but unsure what else to put in to hopefully give a better smell! This will be my first time make my own so any advice is appreciated, I don't want to waste money making mistakes.

I use white vinegar and water as it's the best thing I've found to not leave smears on my glossy work tops and clean water stains.

The kids do complain they can smell it, but it dissipates quickly, and if I put something scented in it then it would smear.

I have in the past used lemon juice instead in a pinch as it does smell better, but goes off (and then smells much, much worse) if you leave it out in the warm.

I add lemon rinds to my white vinegar.

Slice them up small and schlop them in through the opening at the top of bottle (brown glass). It only helps with the vinegar smell a little.

You do get used to the vinegar smell.

I've been doing this a while and I've all but given up with most of the recipes I tried. The two I use most are 1) equal amounts of vinegar and cheap washing up liquid and 2) a diluted version using ¼ of a bottle of mix one topped up with water.

I've also tried using different essential oils but settled on lemon for kitchen and peppermint for bathroom. I use spray 1) for cleaning where there's limescale, grease or whatever and 2) for quick wipe downs. Generally, I think, hot soapy water is enough for most cleaning if you do it often enough.

I use citric acid, just a couple of spoons mixed with water and a few drops of lavender/lemon/peppermint oil. Its great for limescale too so great for toilet cleaning.
