holy grail -easy one stop shop cleaning products?

Hi, We have been switching to more eco friendly cleaning products for a while, and using white vinegar for a lot, but it's not quite cutting it, particularly in the bathroom (pinky orange stuff appearing), plugholes etc. I would love to have a one stop shop (ideally online, I live rurally) for really effective eco products, rather than having to order a variety of brands etc. What do people think of splosh and smol etc? Method? And where's the best place to buy online for best prices etc? Thanks in advance!

I have been using a mixture of washing up liquid, vinegar, lemon essential oil and topped up with water for cleaning everything recently, and just refilling the same bottle over and over. Far better than any Method product I have ever used (which always smelt lovely but were crap for cleaning and ridiculously overpriced) and I can't really see how any branded 'eco' product has anything better in to be honest.

I’ve been using some smol products for a while. Dishwasher tabs - good
Non bio washing pods -excellent
Fabric softener- excellent, haven’t had any black grime round the dispenser drawer since swapping.

Haven’t tried the household sprays yet so would be interested if anyone else has.

Ordering painless if you want to amend your plan.

Koh!
I use it for cleaning every single surface in the house from the inside of the cooker to the windows.

I use ethical superstore (online ethical supermarket) - they have a whole range of eco cleaning and household products, I mainly use ocean saver (good because it comes in concentrated sachets not plastic bottles), BioD and EcoLeaf, but they have a range so you can pick and choose. Reasonable delivery fees and it turns up in 2-3 days after ordering usually. The cost can be a little higher than standard supermarket but if you can the space you can offset using their bulk buy options...

@Jackgrealishscurtains can you share a recipe/proportions? We have loads of bottles so be great to have a good recipe!

Well I would say 'recipe' is pushing it a bit Grin

Basically, I put a large squirt of washing up liquid in the bottle, then a bit of vinegar (maybe 200ml, maybe a bit less, I don't measure it) then about 30-40 drops of lemon essential oil (I buy a large bottle from Amphora Aromatics) and then top it up with water.

I sort of experiment with the amount of vinegar a bit, it changes. I also used to put mint essential oil in as well, but then that with the vinegar just smelt like mint sauce everywhere!

I am of the thinking now that hot soapy water is really all you need for cleaning, so this cleaning spray isn't anything much more special than that.

KOH. Good for most things

I use a similar washing up. liquid and vinegar spray for quick cleaning, but a more concentrated version for cleaning toilets, shower, oven etc - essentially half and half vinegar and washing up liquid.

I love planet detox for everything except washing up. Their bars of soap stuff for kitchen and bathroom are fantastic, they last forever. They have pumice in them as a mild abrasive so deal with anything. They do a powder scrub for the loo which can deal with the most grotty toilet far better than any super chemical toilet duck thing and a powder floor cleaner, just mix with hot water and mop. Their bar of dish soap is shit though.

Why does nobody seem to recommend Ecover products?

Another vote for Koh. I use it for everything, counters, floors, windows, bathrooms, mirrors, wood, carpets, even my trainers. I add a little splash of Zoflora to make it smell nice and it's an absolute pleasure to use.

I recently tried the Smol dishwasher tablets and was impressed.
