Please recommend a non-stick and non-toxic frying pan

I am looking for a good, non-stick and non-toxic frying pan for omelettes, pancakes and frying potatoes. I have tried non-stick stainless steel but the food does stick to it although the taste is very good in comparison to Teflon pans, for example.
A very long time ago I tried a ceramic- coated frying pan. It was quite good but eventually it cracked in many places. It was a fairly cheap one so that's probably why.
I have tried browsing Amazon but thought I better ask for recommendations on Mumsnet. Thank you!

This thread is a bit old now, but if you’re looking for guidance on which kitchenware to buy, we’ve recently refreshed our best frying pan guide with plenty of high-quality options recommended by Mumsnetters, including non-toxic, ceramic pans. We hope you find it useful.

I would like to invest into a good cast iron pan. My parents have a few ancient ones and they're brilliant for frying potatoes and omelettes.

Wonder if anyone has tried these? circulon.uk.com/products/premier-professional-twin-frying-pan-set?gclid=CjwKCAiAi_D_BRApEiwASslbJ5NliwjD-06S1zpHvUsyhOJicNwcb9j4Xye-oiJbxYJkFWEGYI56zxoC6bkQAvD_BwE&gclid=CjwKCAiAi_D_BRApEiwASslbJ5NliwjD-06S1zpHvUsyhOJicNwcb9j4Xye-oiJbxYJkFWEGYI56zxoC6bkQAvD_BwE

The ceramic ones are both non-stick and non-toxic.

We have a cast iron one. It's so heavy but really good. And no forever chemicals!

I found three anolon pans in charity shops and they are all non-stick and even though I know are not at their best best now I think whoever had them before must have had them for AGES. Try searching Anolon

We have ‘green pan’ pans. I like them.

Hardertobreathe · 26/05/2021 10:33

I just went to look at green pans, a link for Amazon came up so I clicked on it to read the reviews. There are photos up and quite a few complaints about them being not very non stick. How long have you had yours toffee ? Are you finding them non stick and easy to clean?

I would like to know this too!

Same problem, tried Greenpan and was very disappointed, the aluminium started corroding in the dishwasher after about 3 weeks. Have a le cruset pan now, its ok not exactly non stick yet, but I have hopes when its more seasoned in it will be more non stick as my casseroles are.

I've gone back to my cast iron pan. They're not non stick - at first. But they do build up a layer if you use them often. If you don't, you need to keep seasoning to avoid rust. Back in the day, I used mine for pizzas, burgers, eggs, roast veg, lasagne - anything that needed oil or went in the oven and fitted.

Then, I started sharing the cooking, and everyone moaned that it was too heavy, it was hard to clean etc and it fell out of use. Now, I'm doing more of the cooking, and I have two for tortilla night.
